This
website is dedicated to sharing information about our Scottish heritage and
family genealogies for both sides of the Atlantic.
When my father and I
began researching our family surname Bain (of the Clan MacBain) in 2000 we soon
realized that many other Scottish families were closely related to ours through
marriage. We felt it was appropriate to catalogue information for these
families since they are part of our heritage as well.
We began
with simple information that older living relatives gave us and along with the
growing genealogical web community and access to microfilms at the
local LDS Family History Center we began collecting information from
Scottish censuses, church records and other sources.
Of course genealogy
never ends so we continue to research and look forward to sharing information
with others.
We present the family tree data here which is correct
to the best of our abilities.
